Biography

Eugen Boorsma, better known as MYST, is renowned for sculpting immersive and emotive stories through sound. Drawn to music from a young age and becoming a devoted guitarist, it wasn't long before Eugen discovered electronic music and became infatuated with the harder styles.

Making his debut on Nightbreed Records, the Hardstyle community was immediately captivated by his profound approach to the genre. His track "Before You Go" marked a turning point in his career, garnering support from fellow producers and mainstage crowds, catapulting him into the spotlight. Within a year, he established himself on stage with prestigious slots at Defqon.1, Tomorrowland, and Decibel, to name a few, where he remained an essential name until the end of his DJ career in 2021.

Beyond performing, MYST is dedicated to helping aspiring producers by providing them with essential tools like samples, presets, and project files to enhance their craft. In 2024, he launched XSYST, a project aimed at experimenting and diving into new genres to challenge himself and his audience.
